GURUGRAM: Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) has set a deadline of September 30 to submit the estimates of the change to the Haryana government for improved the deficient infrastructure in the eight private developer colonies recently seen by the civic body.
On Monday, the deadline was set at a review meeting chaired by MCG commissioner Mukesh Kumar Ahuja in his camp office.
The provisional estimates for the infrastructure project were around Rs 10 crore for Sushant Lok 3, Rs 8.5 crore for Ardees City, Rs 8.5 crores for Sushant Lok phase 2, and Rs 14 crore for Malibu Towne. However, these estimates’ values will be changed.

In the meeting, Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) officials said the executive engineers presented the current status of services provided to the eight colonies and the estimates prepared to upgrade their deficient infrastructure.
The tentative forecast for infrastructure augmentation was around Rs 8.4 crore for Ardee City, Rs 8.5 crore for Sushant Lok Phase 2, Rs 10 crore for Sushant phase Lok 3, and Rs 14 crore for Malibu Town. However, these estimates will be changed.

We gave our presentation on the current status of works in these colonies. Some suggestions were given for each territory, but the estimates will have to be changed and sent to the Haryana government by September 30.
In Vipul World, bituminous roads won’t survive due to continuous waterlogging, so the estimate prepared for the colony will have to be increased, Tushar Yadav, executive engineer, Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG), said.

In the meeting, Vishal Garg, executive engineer, MCG, said the commissioner also gave orders to the officials to address issues related to stormwater and sewerage drainage networks on priority in these eight colonies.
Municipal Corporation of Gurugram took over seven private colonies, Ardee City, Malibu Towne, Vipul Gardens, Uppal South end, Sushant Lok Phase 2, Rosewood City and Sushant Lok Phase 3 on June 15, and Greenwood City on August 29.
Mayfield Garden takeover is still pending for view. The services that the MCG took over include water supply, stormwater drains, roads, streetlights and sewerage systems.
New plan for infrastructure in colonies by September 30
The chief minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar, has announced the MCG takeover of 11 colonies like Ardee City, Vipul Garden, Rosewood City, Malibu Towne, Mayfield Garden, Uppal South end, Sushant Lok Phase 2 and Sushant Lok Phase 3, Greenwood City and DLF phase 4 and DLF Phase 5, on November 2019 under the second phase of transfers.
The residents of these colonies have long been demanding that the MCG enhance the takeover process, citing worsening the civic infrastructure of the settlements.
In December 2020, MCG councilors across the city took up the issue of colony transfer with the chief minister of Haryana and requested him to fast the process. The residents and the councilors had claimed that the process of transferring the colonies was going on at a very moderate pace.
