GURUGRAM: Both GMDA (Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority) and HSVP (Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran) have refused the Inspection of the builder’s floors and several newly constructed individual houses. This process was necessary to obtain OC (occupation certificate) for issuing compulsory Public Health reports. Due to this process, about 60 owners of the house left in the city.
In June this year, the DTPC (department of town and country planning) gave responsibility to the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority for inspecting all projects, except builder floors and individual houses.
Earlier, the HSVP inspected rainwater harvesting systems, the city’s drainage system. And also the sewerage line. Also, HSVP prepared all the health reports for residential and commercial projects and their post-inspection.
GMDA (Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority)

The process for Inspection of all projects, except individual houses and builder floors, now conduct by GMDA. But, now, the HSVP and GMDA refused the Inspection of builders’ floors and newly constructed separate dwellings.
Also in September, Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran wrote to the department of town and country planning and explained a few staff shortages.
A GMDA official said. This October, an official of GMDA also wrote a letter to the town and country planning department. They have refused to inspect the drainage system, sewerage inspection and rainwater harvesting of an individual house.
As per the frequent practices, the report for the separate dwellings shall continue to be given by Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran.
The authority wrote in the letter asking GMDA for reports of public health and rainwater harvesting. GMDA also requested to issue the necessary orders to the architects to deposit the file in Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority.
HSVP (Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran)
Earlier in the year 2018, an official committee of HSVP was developed by the DTCP for the examination of individual houses constructed in licensed colonies and all real estate projects. Also, to check and inspect public health services and issue reports.
Due to these specific reasons, it has induced the (DTP) district town planner) to write to the director of the town and country planning against both the authorities and point on public convenience.
District town planner Sanjay Kumar told TOI to get OCs for individual house reports and the mandatory Inspection of rainwater harvesting systems. But both the HSVP and GMDA have refused to carry out inspection work. Also, we have written to our director for his orders in this matter.
