As India waits for its first high-speed train between Ahmedabad and Mumbai, Indian Railways has identified several other routes. Detailed project reports for 5 new routes have been prepared, pending government approval.
Delhi-Kanpur-Lucknow-Varanasi Bullet Train will cover a distance of more than 865 kilometers. It has been recommended to take this corridor through Ayodhya city
The Delhi-Chandigarh-Jalandhar-Amritsar bullet train corridor will cover a distance of 480 kilometers. The National Railway Plan 2051 has recommended that it be extended to Pathankot via Jammu.
Varanasi, Patna, and Howrah Bullet trains will cover a distance of approximately 711 km. With high-speed trains with speeds exceeding 320 km/h.
The proposed Mumbai to Hyderabad bullet train corridor will cover a distance of 508 km at a speed of over 320 km/h.
